[Monoliths Mario World 2]

Very cool although a little slow

The graphics looks very much like the original. The blended scenes and animation is very similar and I think you've succeeded well on that. I'm curious how you edit levels. Is it all on the stage?

A suggestion for hit detection if you have no already done so - Only hit detect things that are near the player. You can break down the scene into parts and only have hit detection for the part the player is in. This will make the game a lot faster.

Nah the map with static tiles is just a big bitmapdata thats blittet on the screen.. very efficient technique!

Yes hit detection is only active then the enemy/item is on the screen.. However this game was really badly programmed after all :)

Dude.. I am very impressed by the programming that probably went into this game, and the amound of work, and just overall thrilled that someone would put this effort to make a great game. I don't meant to sound redundant. I love the cut scenes, that was an extra added bonus. Everything, everything. The sounds that you got from Donkey Kong, graphics were superb.

Newgrounds Alpha Toon

First of all, if you were going to submit something so early submit it to Newgrounds Alpha. You got a cool game starting, it's a little glitchy with the movement so consider revising the code. Also I have a suggestion with the graphics to make them look old school.

There's lots to improve then it will be an GREAT game! None the less, I admit that it was pretty addictive. There's some minor flaws that could be fixed that would make it a lot better. Least importaintly, fix your buttons and put a background in it so more will activate than just the text. I can't stand buttons that are just active when you're over the text. =(

Also, that dissapearing floor needs work. It doesn't stay long enough or its hard to tell when it's dissapearing or not.

The flame graphic makes the game run slow (at least on my crappy computer) when there's too many.

Does level 6 give you enough health to beat it? It's sort of annoying when the UFO approaches you and you can't do anything to have it not take health away from you. Can you do anything?

dude this is horrible

I don't get it? How does this have such a high score and good ratings? This is a piss poor game! The game acts like it has direction, but it doesn't, the flash files still come in like you're not moving at all. I don't see anything fun really about this game. Sorry! Nice try though..
To make up being such an asshole, we'll go out for coffee sometime. You're probably a real good guy. Good attempt. I feel bad for saying such things to you. =(

I know it's not anything amazing. It was just something I felt like doing in my free time over the course of a few months off and on to make the blam movie interactive. It started out as just a ghetto 'point and click' but with the creation of the blam/save point system, I decided to turn it into a novelty game, that many people at the time of its release enjoyed playing. I never really expected it to get an award and do as well as it did. Later brodie.

Excellent, really fun.

This is probably one of the only few dress ups that have been really fun and I didn't notice the time fly by when I using it! Lots of features. Man that must of been some hard work! Good job!

Yeah sorry again about the lack of levels, I made this game mostly to learn some new programming skills and then I got bored.
Perhaps a sequel? (Though I might get flamed for not being 'original')
